Love him or hate him, Kyle Busch knows how to win. And he doesn't seem to mind the boos. In fact, it makes him want to win.
Busch didn't dominate the early or mid part of the race but he took over toward the end to pick up his fourth win on the Sprint Cup circuit. And while he was taking his bows, Carl Edwards took his second-place car to pit road.
I really thought Edwards was going to make things interesting. But something happen on that final pit stop that put him further behind the No. 18 of Busch. The only thing that Edwards could have hoped for then was a caution.
Roush driver's didn't have a bad day with Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth having good finishes for Ford. Jeff Gordon also placed well.
While Busch had a good day, his teammates didn't. Tony Stewart ran into trouble after Elliott Sadler was spun out early in the race. Stewart, who took the blame for the wreck even though he didn't cause it, had no where to go and hit Sadler. It seemed Denny Hamlin's spotter didn't tell him to slow down, but he later said he couldn't get his car to stop in time before he plowed into the wreckage.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. was also involved in the wreck. We'll have to wait another week to see if Earnhardt, Stewart or Gordon will get their first win of the year.
Sunday was FOX's last televised race of the year. We now have TNT for six races before ESPN and ABC takes the remainder of the schedule. It's hard to believe that the season is halfway to the Chase. We've got some different tracks coming up with the triangle looking Pocono and a road coarse later on this month.
I'm sure the action is about to heat up.
