Different Busch Wins, TNT Misses Good Interview Chances

Kurt Busch won the race on Sunday by going to pit road on a different schedule than anyone else and being out in front when rain stopped the race. That was a good call by the 2004 Cup Champion who has struggled this season.
It was good to hear from him and how honest he was about not having the fastest car on the track. Heck, it was good to hear from Kyle Busch and Juan Montoya about them hitting each other under caution.
What I can't understand is the missed opportunity TNT had to interview drivers who normally not in the top 10 every week. Michael Waltrip was second followed by J.J. Yeley in third and Elliott Sadler in fifth, Reed Sorenson in sixth and Casey Mears in seventh. These are all drivers who normally aren't interviewed after the race. The only time they are interviewed is when they mess up and wreck or get wrecked. It's also strange that they like to talk about these guys I mention when things aren't going good. Have them do good and they still don't talk to them. Sure, they probably wouldn't have ended up in the top 10 if the rain hadn't come. But they still talked to Busch. But if Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart had been second on Sunday and TNT probably would have interviewed them.
Don't say they didn't have a chance to talk to Waltrip. He was standing beside Busch and could have been grabbed.
Then they make the announcement to go to TNT's web site to see more interviews. That's horrible. Not everybody has the internet. But I went and didn't find any interviews after the race from my favorite drivers which includes some of the ones I mentioned above.
I was happy to see Waltrip get second which is the highest anyone on his team has gotten in Cup competition. No interview though. I was happy to see Mears, who will be out of a ride at the end of the year, get seventh. No interview.
Yeley has struggled this year. He gets third. No interview. Sadler gets fifth but no interview. Maybe if he was his teammate Kasey Kahne.
Truly, I don't understand how a television network works. I guess "Black Gold," which came on right after the race, had to get on early. But if the race hadn't of been rained out, "Black Gold" wouldn't have come on until after 6 p.m.
The race was fine. The strategy and the controversy between Kyle Busch and Montoya was good too. TNT's coverage, especially that after the race, was horrible.
