Edwards Wins and Pocono is done for the year

First of all, I'm glad Pocono is done for this season. It just seems that the races at this 2.5 mile track aren't that exciting. I know, I wrote in my column that NASCAR isn't boring. Well, I guess I'm not right all of the time.
For the most part, NASCAR is exciting. There was a little drama in the last couple of laps as the announcers kept talking about the fact that Carl Edwards may run out of gas. But he didn't, picking up his fourth win of the season. Edwards even had a chance during an earlier red flag period to get into a fight with his crew chief about a decision they had made. I wonder who made the right call in the end.
Tony Stewart once again finished second after his crew had to continue working on the car all day long.
Now we're on to Watkins Glen, the second and final road course of the season. This race has had its share of excitement. Last year, who could forget how Kevin Harvick and Juan Pablo Montoyoa nearly came to blows after they wrecked in turn one. And then, when it looked like Jeff Gordon was going to win, he lost control of his car in turn one and allowed Stewart to race on to victory lane. That, by the way, was the last time Stewart won. So maybe, next weekend Stewart will get back into victory lane after finishing second this week.
Hey, Edwards was second last week before winning on Sunday. It could happen again.
