Greg Biffle hadn't won a race since the 2007 event in Kansas. Now, in the first two Chase races, Biffle has won two.
What an exciting duel he had with his teammates Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwwards. That was the best part of the race. I really didn't know who was going to win that race. It looked like, at first, that Edwards may have made the right move in getting two tires on the last pit stop. But then Kenseth chased him down, after passing Biffle, to get the lead.
But Biffle came back and retook the lead, only to have both Kenseth and Edwards right behind him.
Kenseth, who like other good drivers Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick, has yet to win in 2008. The fact that none of these guys have won a race is really a mystery to me.
Another strange thing is Kyle Busch and Joe Gibbs Racing. In the first 26 races, Busch and his teammates seemed to dominate at every track. Even though Busch won majority of those races, he and his team have not performed well since the Chase began. He had another bad performance on Sunday. Denny Hamlin also struggled and Tony Stewart finished 11th.
Stewart, who is leaving JGR at the end of the year, wants to be a contender and get at least another win at JGR before he leaves. He only has eight more races to get that done.
And Kansas is a track he has won at.
But so has Biffle.
