Biffle looking for three in a row

I'm sure Greg Biffle remembers what happened last year at Kansas Motor Speedway. He survived the crazy second part of the race to cost under caution and pick up a win. Though he wasn't in the chase, that race was big for him. Now, a year later, he's back at Kansas and he would like nothing more than to pick up his third win in a row and maybe move up to the top position in the Chase.
But Jimmie Johnson, the two-time defending Cup Champion and winner of the pole for this weekend's race, will have something to say about that. And so will Biffle's teammate Carl Edwards.
Biffle, Edwards and teammate Matt Kenseth put on a great show last weekend as the three Fords battled for the win in the closing laps of the race at Dover. By the end of the race, Biffle was in victory lane and Edwards was on top of the standings.
Time is running out on past champions Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon to get a victory this year. Both made the Chase but have been pretty quiet since doing so.
Stewart probably doesn't want to think about last year's race at Kansas. The two-time Cup Champion was leading the race past the halfway point when heavy rain delayed the race for a while. If the race would have been called, Stewart would have had a big lead because the other Chase contenders were in the back of the field because they had just pitted.
When it stopped raining, NASCAR decided to restart the race. Unfortunately for Stewart, it wasn't short enough as he was caught up in a wreck and that kind of took him out of the Championship battle that year.
Another group of drivers to watch out for are the three from Richard Childress (Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer). They don't make a lot of noise but they are having good runs to stay within eye sight of Edwards, Johnson and Biffle.
But the main thing about the Chase is getting the wins. Which is something Biffle didn't do until two weeks ago. And if he continues do that, he'll win his first Cup title.
