Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick probably won't be sending each other a Christmas card this year. Of course, they may have never done that before either.
But after Edwards wreck took out Harvick and two teammates last week, that pretty much sealed the deal of them getting along at least for now.
Then on Thursday, Edwards went to talk to Harvick and they got into an altercation. Apparently, Harvick didn't want to talk and Edwards grabbed him. That's when Harvick pushed Edwards and someone from Harvick's team put Edwards in a headlock.
Maybe they should save that energy for the race. Edwards, who admitted to being at fault in last week's race, is still in second place but he's now 70 something points behind leader Jimmie Johnson. And with the rain wiping out qualifying, all 12 of the Chase contenders will be at the front of the field when the race starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway this Saturday.
Johnson is very good at Lowe's and Edwards will be looking to bounce back. Then again, Tony Stewart, who won last week and almost won at Lowe's in the spring, wants to win two in a row and get back into the Chase.
It should be an interesting weekend.
