Qualifying Rained Out, Again

Jimmie Johnson will once again start on the pole because rainy weather took out qualifying last Friday. All of the Chase contenders will be in the top part of the field, but they'll more than likely see Johnson near the front all day at Martinsville.
This is a track that Johnson normally dominates, so it doesn't look good for those in the Chase wanting to get back in the title hunt.
I really think NASCAR needs to do everything they can to get qualifying in. Even if that means holding it on the day of the race. They do that for the Craftsman and Nationwide Series. Now, I know those are scheduled qualifying sessions. But we're talking about the Chase here. It's the playoffs.
Then again, there are some teams trying to get new drivers some seat time and the only way to do that is to bring a different car with no points. The teams get sponsors and test real good, only to have rain cancel qualifying. That's the one thing I don't like about the rules as they are now but I guess, with the success of the sport, those are the rules we are going to see for now on. That is, until enough teams stop trying to qualify because their sponsors leave them for not qualifying because of the rain.
