Tony Stewart would have won Sunday's race if it was called the Coca-Cola 595. Instead, it was Kasey Kahne who was able to go by Stewart when his tire blew up and put him in the wall with two laps left in the race.
The FOX announcers were ready to give Stewart the victory when all of a sudden Stewart's car went left into the wall. I noticed FOX didn't try to interview Stewart after the race. I don't blame them.
It has to be frustrating to Stewart to be in the lead with only a few laps to go. It seemed like he was finally going to get his first win of the season. His teammates Kyle Busch has three wins and Denny Hamlin has one.
But Stewart's misfortune turned out to be fortune for Kahne. Kahne was at the right place on the track. It seemed liked he took too long on that last pit stop, but that didn't hurt him. He was far enough ahead of Greg Biffle that after Stewart went out, all Kahne had to do was not have the same bad luck.
Busch, who had problems with his car during the race and had to go to the back and work his way up, finished third and extended his points lead.
Now the circuit heads to Dover after spending the last two weeks in Charlotte. The one good thing for Stewart is that this is the time of the year where he normally starts to get hot. Maybe he'll bounce back and get a couple of wins.

What's Bad For Stewart, Is Good For Kahne
