The thing about Dover is it's a one-mile race track but it looks a lot bigger.
The track has been known to cause some close racing since it is just a mile-long. Greg Biffle and former teammate Kurt Busch will lead the Sprint Cup series to the start of Sunday's race at Dover. They will be two of the favorites along with Jimmy Johnson who dominated practice before qualifying in the top 10.
So far in the season, there have been a few surprises. Kyle Busch has dominated at Joe Gibbs Racing while Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt Jr. have yet to win a race. Stewart came close last week but a flat tire with two laps to go ended his chances in the Coca-Cola 600. Earnhardt has been in the top 10 all year long but has yet to get into victory lane except for the Bud Shootout and Qualifying race at the beginning of the year in Daytona.
Gordon seems to of struggled at more tracks this year while the only Hendrick car to win was Jimmie Johnson.
I would be surprised if the season ended without Stewart, Gordon or Earnhardt getting at least one win each.
