Back to where it started

It seems like only yesterday when the 2008 NASCAR season started at Daytona with Ryan Newman winning that first race. Now, the circuit rolls back into Daytona and Newman isn't sure where he'll be driving in 2009.
I'm sure he's waiting to see what is going to happen with Tony Stewart. The one thing we do know is Mark Martin will be driving the No. 5 car for Hendrick Motor Sports for the next two years. This may be his best chance at a Cup title ever.
Daytona is my favorite track because its one that just about anyone can win at. You never know what surprises are in store when the Cup circuit goes to Daytona.
As for drivers to watch for, I would keep an eye on Newman and teammate Kurt Busch. Penske drivers seem to do good there. Of course Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson from Hendrick's will be a threat and Michael Waltrip seems to find his way to the front also.
Greg Biffle, Matt Kenseth and Carl Edwards will be up to the front at some time also.
Stewart, Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch will also help lead the way. Stewart and Hamlin wrecked leading the race last year.
This will be a night race the day after the Fourth of July. And there will be fireworks at the end. No, I don't mean fights (though that could happen too). The fireworks I'm talking about will be when the race is over.
By the way, have a happy and safe July 4th.
